GCR has provided technical and planning services to the aviation community since 1986

In 1986, GCR introduced the Airport Information Management System (AIMS) – a custom-tailored application to handle a variety of property and operations information such as airport leases, passenger enplanements, property management, and accounting and financial data.

As GCR’s aviation practice expanded so did its services and offerings. AIMS was redeveloped and integrated into a new generation of aviation software – the AirportIQ Suite of Airport Intelligence Software. This comprehensive set of applications manages virtually all aspects of an airport and is the foundation of much of GCR’s work for airports and airlines. AirportIQ is in use at over 35 airports worldwide.

FAA Work

For a number of years, GCR has been under contract with the Federal Aviation Administration for the design, development, and management of a sophisticated application to manage all official facility information on airports throughout the United States. This program includes the inspection of thousands of airports in the U.S. and updates the airport’s official master record 5010.

In addition, GCR has completed several other projects for the FAA:

• National Airport System Strategic Evaluation Task (National ASSET) – a strategic assessment of the non-Primary airports in the FAA’s National Plan Integrated Airport System (NPIAS)
• 5010web.com – used by federal and state inspectors for inspection of non-air carrier airports.

Aviation Planning

GCR has extensive capabilities in the area of airport system and master planning for both large and small airports. GCR’s aviation planning projects harness our planning roots, our cutting-edge technologies, and our diverse staff and experience to bring a variety of services to our clients – services which are unmatched in the industry.

GCR has completed airport planning projects for small general aviation airports and Part 139 Commercial Service airports and is currently engaged with over 40 airport clients in activities ranging from revenue management to operations compliance.
